Today we had good conditions at the beginning of the day. So the first race started at 11am sharp with 14 knots. With the fourth race, the discard starts working. Bra 100 is still in front dropping 7th and is in the same position as Mauricio Martinez (Mex 95). The world champion (Per 2) is only at one point behind of them in third place.
The second race was for very light sailors, with winds rounding 7 to 8 knots. Many of the fleet did not finish on the proper time after the first arrived to the finish line.
In the female fleet Demita Vega (Mex 5) is far in front of the other girls, fighting to be in the top five.
We are still happy to have sailors from Junior to Grand Master in the top five, and a woman in the top six.
The forecast for tomorrow is very light wind with probability to have some races at the end of the day.
First day report:
After 4 hours of waiting at La Amada, the RC allowed us to go to the water. Just in seconds everybody set their sails and went to the racing area.
The first race was raced with 10 knots, and the second one with 12-14 knots. And both were won by BRA 100 (Fernando Souza). He really showed that been a grand master does not matter to have good performance.
As a surprise, we have sailors from junior to grand master in the top five. Anyone has chance win a race!!!
For tomorrow we expect to do 4 races y better conditions...
